Ambra Health Named 2020 Finalist at the UCSF Digital Health Awards

Company shortlisted for New EHR Advance Category

NEW YORK —  October 1, 2020 — Ambra Health, makers of the leading cloud-based, medical image management suite, today announced that Ambra Health was named as a finalist in the UCSF Digital Health Awards New EHR Advance Category.

Considered the “Academy Awards of Digital Health,” this unique awards event celebrates the achievements of innovative companies dramatically improving healthcare with technology. The top 50 finalists were selected by an expert panel of judges from over 750 nominations.

The Ambra Health platform provides facilities with a suite of tools designed to eliminate CDs, streamline image management, and speed up time-to-care delivery. Ambra Health makes medical imaging available in real-time and accessible from anywhere, by anyone. One of Ambra’s core capabilities is image-enabling leading EHR systems. Imaging is often the missing piece of the puzzle in the patient record causing physicians to login into separate systems and toggle between browsers. Consolidating imaging within the EHR eliminates the need to login to multiple systems, and physicians are able to securely search for prior imaging, providing the best health outcome.

Ambra works with leading EMR/EHR and RIS vendors to streamline imaging workflows and integrate imaging data with the rest of the patient record producing a holistic image and reducing manual errors. For example, when a CD of prior imaging is uploaded, data is matched from the EHR System to the CD and overrides the information on the disk through Ambra’s revolutionary auto film library, integrated with Epic Hyperspace.

“Imaging is a critical part of the individual health record yet many hospitals and health systems still rely on outdated, siloed, and on-premise technology for storing and transferring medical imaging,” said Morris Panner, CEO of Ambra Health. “Ambra allows providers, patients, and researchers the ability to view all patient data holistically, providing new windows for opportunity.”

UCSF Health Hub established the Digital Health Awards to spread awareness for the leading digital health companies transforming patient care, so that today’s cutting-edge technologies can have an even broader reach to better people’s lives and decrease healthcare costs. Winners were announced and honored at a virtual ceremony on the UCSF Mission Bay campus. The full video stream of the event is here

Magazine, and earning the top spot at the 2020 SIIA CODiE Awards in the Healthcare Technology Solution category.
